Executable Icon Changer is a cool little app that lets you change the icons for your programs with just a few clicks. You can switch out those boring default icons for something more fun, and it works with EXE and ICO formats.
This tool is super simple! Even if you’re not a tech whiz, you can figure it out without breaking a sweat. All you need is the .NET Framework, and you're good to go!
You don’t have to mess around with complicated setups. The whole thing comes in one executable file. Just save it anywhere on your computer, double-click it, and you’re ready to start customizing! Plus, it doesn’t clutter up your Windows registry or create extra files without asking.
The interface of Executable Icon Changer is pretty straightforward. You’ll see all the buttons clearly laid out in a standard window. To begin, use the file browser to find the EXE file of the program whose icon you want to change—drag-and-drop isn’t an option here.
Next up, just pick an ICO format icon that you'd like to use as a replacement. You can even preview how it looks before making any changes! It's all done with just one click.
Even though this app hasn’t been updated in a while, we found it works smoothly on newer Windows versions during our tests. It didn’t cause any crashes or slowdowns, which is awesome! Plus, it uses very little CPU and RAM so your system won’t feel bogged down.
That said, there are some limitations. For instance, you can't edit icons or apply the same icon to multiple EXE files at once. But hey, it's free! So why not give Executable Icon Changer a try?
