Description
Let's be honest, accurately keeping track of everything we do and when we do it isn't something that most of us put much emphasis on during our lives.
Still, consistent time tracking has a lot of benefits which ultimately should lead to streamlined workflows and hefty productivity boosts. Obviously, to have consistent time tracking you need a reliable app.
EventRecorder is one such application, an intuitive and lightweight time-tracking app. With its help, you can thoroughly keep track of time spent on specific tasks, and even generate reports.
EventRecorder's GUI is as straightforward as they come. On the left, you have a time recorder panel that displays all recorded events (including the date, time, and events) and a few buttons.
These buttons can be configured to your liking (for the most used events) via a configuration file. On the right side, you can either save a new path (for a new series of events) or load an already existing event file. It's also the place from where you can enter custom event descriptions.
Clearly, EventRecorder is not aimed at professional environments due to its simplicity. This is the type of app that can come in handy in a wide range of scenarios, just as long as they don't require anything more than a classic time-recording setup.
Despite its non-impressive GUI, EventRecorder is a decent little app that does exactly what it says on the tin. It's also available for both Linux and Windows, it's small, lightweight, and super user-friendly. It's a good application for someone who wants to generate reports and keep track of the time spent on various simple tasks that don't require hefty descriptions.
