What is Escript FOR LINUX?

Escript is an open source command-line software written in Python and designed to provide a programming environment for implementing mathematical models in Python. It can also be used to solve PAE (Partial Differential Equations).

Escript features support for simulating 2D and 3D finite elements, support for SILO and VTK file formats, parallelization support using MPI and OpenMP, a specialized geophysical inversion module, unstructured meshes from gmsh, visualization support using VisIt, as well as a Flux Controlled Transport solver (FEM-FCT).

Being written in Python, Escript is a cross-platform application that supports for Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.
