If you are not familiar with the Terminal app and you cannot use the standalone command-line tool, you can turn to ePub Checker and ease your work.

You can quickly and effortlessly load the ePub files you need to analyze, check for errors, and validate with the user-oriented interface.

The results of the analysis are displayed in an expandable, as well as collapsible list view, that you can save as a log file.

Configure ePub Checker to automatically ignore iTunesMetadata.plist file errors and use EpubCheck 3.0.1 or EpubCheck 1.2 to validate your files.
