Description
Episodes
Episodes is a handy little app for OS X that helps you keep track of all your favorite TV shows. It can be tough to remember which episodes you've seen or when the new ones are coming out, right? Well, with Episodes, you can easily grab tons of info about the hottest shows on TV and monitor your viewing progress.
What Does Episodes Do?
First off, it's important to note that Episodes doesn't let you download videos or play them within the app. Its main job is to give you all the juicy details about each show and help you track whether you've seen an episode or not. So, if you're looking for a video player, this isn’t it!
Importing Metadata Made Easy
Episodes pulls in metadata from TheTVDB.com, so you'll need an internet connection to get started. Once you're in the app, you'll see artwork for each show, a complete episode list (including any upcoming ones), and even a quick synopsis for every episode.
Organize Your Shows
You can organize your favorite shows into different categories like watchlist, unseen episodes, or archive. If you have video files stored on your Mac, just add their location in the show's description. This way, you can launch them directly from the app using your default video player through an easy contextual menu.
Stay Updated on New Episodes
One cool feature of Episodes is that it automatically downloads info about new episodes that are set to air soon and creates a list for you! This means you'll always know what’s coming next without having to search around.
Never Miss an Episode Again!
If you're worried about missing out on your favorite shows (even those yet-to-air episodes), Episodes has got your back! All the metadata updates quickly from online sources. You just need to change the status of each episode as you watch them. It's super simple!
If you're ready to take control of your TV watching experience, check out Episodes here!
