Emu's Encryption Tool is a cool, free tool that helps you keep your text safe by encrypting it using polyalphabetic methods. What's neat about this tool is that it doesn't rely on any complicated math formulas. This means that the encrypted texts are super tough to crack with brute force attacks or other password-cracking tricks often used in IT security.
The magic happens when you use random codes and fixed passwords. You can also switch things up and use it as an One-Time-Pad (OTP). With OTP, you get these really long random passwords and codes which makes it nearly impossible to decrypt without the right info.
Before diving in, you need a sender and a receiver—both of you have to be on the same page. So, one person should create a codetable using the "Random" option right below the codetable area and save it to a file. Remember, everyone involved needs to have that same codetable!
The good news? You don't need to change your codetable too often! Just keep that codefile handy for future encryptions. Once you've got your codetable sorted out, the sender will set up a password and type their message in the box on the upper left. Then they hit "Encrypt," and voila! The encrypted text shows up below.
This encrypted message can now be sent off to all receivers who also need access to the password. It's smart to change that password every so often since it's key for decrypting messages. You don't have to do it with every single encryption; maybe consider using one password each day.
When receivers get their hands on the encrypted text, they just paste it into the lower left text area, type in their password, select the correct codetable, and hit "decrypt." Like magic, the decrypted text pops up in the upper left! And that's all there is to it!
