Emerson is a cool app designed to be a cross-platform EPUB and DAISY reader. It supports the EPUB format, which is pretty popular for eBooks. So if you love reading digital books, this could be a great tool for you!

What Can Emerson Do?

Besides reading EPUBs, Emerson also works as an audio DTB player. Just a heads up, it doesn’t support text-only DTBs right now. The Daisy formats it can handle include Daisy 2.02 and Daisy 3 version 2005 (that’s the one known as ANSI/NISO Z3986-2005). So you can enjoy your audiobooks in those formats.

Supported Formats

If you're wondering about audio formats, Emerson currently only supports MP3 encoded DTBs. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work with WAV or AAC files.

User-Friendly Access

The best part? Emerson is built to work directly with your own access devices! This means if you have screen readers or other tools for voicing, they’ll play nicely with Emerson.
