You can access both HTTP and FTP, but getting permission for FTP isn’t something that happens often. There’s a handy “Search” button that pulls up popular search engines in case you need to look something up quickly. Just a heads up though: if you want to search for something directly from the address field, it won’t work with just the “Search” button.

Limited Features

Besides what we’ve talked about, there’s not much else going on here. If you want to browse multiple pages at once, you’ll need to open different instances of Emerald because it doesn’t support tabs yet. Pretty basic stuff!

A little annoying is the fact that every time you want to visit a website, you'll have to type in the address manually since there's no history tracker available. You also can't bookmark pages or save them as favorites—so long-term use might be tricky.
