Description

ee.Yrewind

ee.Yrewind lets you record YouTube live streams and save them right on your computer for later. If a live stream is currently happening, you can use this handy software to rewind the video back a few hours and save that part as a video file. Just remember, ee.Yrewind isn’t made for downloading streams that have already been recorded.

How Does ee.Yrewind Work?

There’s no fancy interface with ee.Yrewind; it works through the command console in Windows. Don’t worry if you’re not a tech whiz! You can type in the help command to see everything about the program, including its options and how it works. The documentation is packed with examples to help make things clearer.

Navigating the Command Console

If you’ve never used the Windows console before, you might find ee.Yrewind surprisingly easy to use. The syntax is pretty straightforward, and those practical examples will really help guide you along the way.

Getting Started with Recording

To kick things off with ee.Yrewind, just open a console window and go to where the app is stored. Then run the executable file followed by “-URL=” and paste in the YouTube link of the live stream you're interested in recording. If you don’t add any other parameters, it will record that live stream in real-time for up to 60 minutes at a resolution of 1080p max. Just keep in mind that only short YouTube links or IDs work here!

Waiting for Live Streams

If you use the “start=wait” parameter, ee.Yrewind will pause until your specified live stream starts, ignoring any other active ones. So yes, while you can rewind a live stream that's happening now, you can also set it up to start recording later.

Customizing Your Recording Settings

You have more control too! Additional parameters let you change how long your recording lasts—from just one minute all the way up to 300 minutes—and even pick your desired resolution based on pixel height.

The Default Format of Recordings

ee.Yrewind saves your recordings as MP4 videos by default, but if you'd like something different, you can change that too!

A Unique Tool for Live Streaming Content

This software is definitely cool because it helps grab content that's streamed live on YouTube. It records livestreams as they happen or even from specific points back in time! Plus, it can wait for scheduled events to kick off recording automatically. Just remember—it only works with active live streams; it's not meant for downloading regular YouTube videos.
