When you use Edit Tools, it automatically adds numbers to each new line in your document. It even numbers empty rows! The program can open all sorts of text documents and works with files like Assembly (*.asm), batch (*.bat), C, C++, C# (*.c, *.cpp, *.cs), cascading style sheets (*.css), and document type definition files (*.dtd).

How It Compares to Notepad

Just like Notepad, Edit Tools can handle almost any file type. However, it only reads the formats mentioned earlier. The app has lots of features to make text editing easier and speed things up!

A cool feature of Edit Tools is how it helps you select chunks of text surrounded by curly brackets. Just put your cursor right before the opening bracket, and watch as everything in that segment gets selected instantly!

Text Conversion and Editing Options

You’ll also find some handy tools for changing the case of selected characters—turn them into uppercase or lowercase with just a click! Plus, you can indent or unindent lines easily and even find & replace whole words or strings.
