EasyRes is a handy tool that makes changing your screen resolution super easy. If you've ever tried to tweak your display settings through System Preferences, you know it can take a while, especially if you need to do it often. With EasyRes, all of that hassle is gone!
When you launch EasyRes, it sets up an icon in your status bar. Click on it and you'll see all the connected displays along with some cool info about them like their model and size. This makes managing multiple screens a breeze!
One of the best features of EasyRes<\/a> is its list of predefined resolutions. Just click to apply one, and you'll see details like the resolution pixel size and refresh rate for each option. It’s all right there for you!
If you want to make things even easier, you can assign custom labels to each resolution. Just head over to the Edit Labels panel and type in whatever name you'd like! You can even hide tags without deleting them if that's what you prefer.
A neat feature is that you can preview how each resolution change will look using thumbnail images before actually making the switch. As soon as you pick one of the built-in presets, EasyRes applies it instantly!
No more searching through menus! EasyRes keeps track of your most recently used resolutions, making it super simple to switch back to a favorite setting. You also get to choose how many recent presets show up in the menu—by default, it's three.
This tool is perfect if you're juggling multiple displays or just want quick access to more resolution sizes than what’s listed in System Preferences.
If you're not a fan of cluttering your status bar, don’t worry! EasyRes includes a Notification Center widget that fits right into your Today panel and offers all the same functions without taking up extra space.
