DX Atlas is a handy little tool for Windows that helps radio amateurs see a world map filled with info about DXCC territories, state and province prefixes, plus CQ and ITU Zones. It’s lightweight, so it won’t slow down your computer at all!
The layout is super clean and simple. You can do most things with just a few clicks, which makes it easy to get around.
You can switch between three cool viewing modes: rectangular display, azimuth, or globe. Want to zoom in or out? No problem! You can even go full screen to really focus on what you're doing.
DX Atlas doesn’t just show the map; it gives you a detailed list of prefixes for territories, cities, and islands. If you want to find a specific prefix on the map, just double-click where you want it!
You can set your home location, and it will automatically calculate the antenna and distance parameters (both short and long path) right from your spot on the map. Plus, you can check local times for all territories, provinces, and cities easily.
You can pin different locations on the map and even change its colors based on various parameters like water bodies, land masses, small islands, cities, borders—there's lots of customization! You get to choose the measurement unit too and tweak relief contrast along with shadows.
Another great feature is that you can export maps in BMP file format. Whether you want just the relief shown or need ionospheric data displayed without grid lines—it’s all possible!
While testing DX Atlas, we found that it works quickly while delivering excellent image quality. It doesn’t hog CPU or memory resources either; so your overall computer performance stays smooth.
This app proves to be reliable with a solid feature set. It's perfect for both newbies and seasoned pros in radio amateurism! Ready to give DX Atlas a try?
