Making the switch between modes doesn't affect any current operations, but only enabling more options, depending on the mode and area you're in. Analysis can take a little while, but before you begin, there's the possibility to configure file and folder exclude or include options to narrow down results.

It can take a little while to get the analysis done, but this only depends on the amount of files and filters you apply. All detected items are shown in a list, and upon selection, it lets you view the name and path of its duplicate. Sadly, removal needs to be manually done, because there's no option to select and remove duplicates at once.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Duplicate Files Manager comes with good intentions, but it feels a bit overwhelming for a simple task, and can take a while before you get to know exactly how to manage all its functions. Multiple modes don't really help much, and the lack of a selection option for all duplicates cuts out a great deal of practicality.
