DSync is a super handy and user-friendly app for Mac OS X. It helps you compare two folders before syncing any changes, making your life a lot easier!
This app has a straightforward interface that lets you pick the two folders you want to compare easily. After selecting your folders, just hit that button, and DSync will show you the differences in no time.
You’ll love how DSync highlights the differences between your folders! It uses green and blue colors to point out what's missing or different. This way, you can quickly see what needs attention.
If you're looking to sync files one way only, there’s an “Asymmetric” option! This means you can move files from the left folder to the right one without worrying about syncing back anything that isn’t in the source folder.
If there are files in your target folder that aren’t in your source folder, don’t worry! DSync will mark those with red color coding so you can spot them easily. Just a little heads up—if the files have different modification dates, DSync won’t sync them up. This could be a bit of a hassle if you're into more complex file management.
Another great feature is that DSync allows you to include sub-folders when comparing and syncing. You can also check out details like filename, size on disk, and creation/modification date for each file.
It would be awesome if DSync remembered the paths of recently synchronized folders! This would save time when switching between different directories for comparison.
If you're working with photos, videos, or other types of files that don’t change often, DSync is definitely worth checking out. We’re hopeful that future updates will enhance its features even more!
