Description
Driven Pendulum is a simple simulation that computes and displays the dynamics of a damped and driven pendulum, its phase space, and its Poincare section.
The model displays pendulum motion in the main window and the phase space in a second window.
Because a phase space trajectory can be very complicated, the motion is easier to analyze by plotting a point in phase space after every cycle (period T) of the external force. Such a phase space plot is called a Poincare map.
