Disk LED

Disk LED is a super handy app that shows you the status of all your drives right in your status bar. You can keep an eye on both internal and external drives, and it gives you a bunch of cool indicator designs to choose from!

How It Works

The first time you open Disk LED, it scans for all your disks and pops an icon in the status bar for each one. The color of these icons tells you what's happening with each disk. If you want to start or stop monitoring a device, just check its name on the Disk LED list.

Customizing Your Experience

If you're looking to tweak how the app behaves, just head over to the Disk LED Preferences window. Here, you can set how often the app refreshes information about your disks—anywhere from 0.1 seconds to 0.5 seconds! You can also adjust how often it checks the SMART monitor, with options from every 5 minutes up to 30 minutes.

Monitor Activity Like a Pro

Disk LED lets you see activity for each drive separately or as a total for all your disks. If you want more details, you can even differentiate between optical and removable disks. Plus, there's an option to add extra space between those tiny icons!

A Variety of Designs

You can use your own custom icons for the menu bar if that's your style! But don’t worry if not—Disk LED comes packed with tons of built-in designs: flat ones, glossy colors, grayscale options, and even fun shapes like hearts or stars! There’s something for everyone!

You also have options like ignoring devices that don’t have any media or unknown devices that pop up when connected for the first time.
