Directional Drilling is a versatile and all-inclusive utility specially made to help engineers, technicians, drillers and tool pushers from the petroleum industry.
The fully-featured application provides you control over directional drilling of oil wells by means of calculations and plotting of well planning. In addition you can preview and analyze survey data in vertical section, plan or X-Y-Z views.
By using Directional Drilling, you can generate a well plan with multiple sections and work with more than just one data file at a time. Moreover, you can edit, add, insert or remove data from your directional survey.
Minimum Curvature is the default calculation method but you can use the Tangential, Angle Averaging, Balanced Tangential and Radius of Curvature methods as well.
The best part about Directional Drilling, is that you can perform survey data calculations using all above mentioned methods at the same time. You can also check the formulas used by each method and print your reports.
You have access to a vertical section view, plan view and X-Y-Z plotting. On top of that you can create Type I, Type II and Horizontal 2D wells and plot up to six multilateral wells. Directional Drilling is also capable to X-Y-X plot one or multiple wells and share your data files using iCloud, Email or iTunes.
You can import Well planning (MD, Inclination, Azimuth) from CSV text files and export Survey Table (MD, Inclination, Azimuth, Quadrant, TVD, HD, VSection, N/S, E/W, DLS) to CSV files and synchronize your data with your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch via iCloud.
