Description
Desktop Image Map Editor
Desktop Image Map Editor is a super handy app that works on different platforms. It’s built using Javascript, which makes it easy to draw all sorts of standard image map shapes like rectangles, circles, and polygons. Plus, you get full control over the HTML code it generates!
Easy Drawing with Canvas
This editor uses the canvas HTML element to help you draw shapes right on your images. It’s pretty straightforward! You just click and drag to create the shape you want.
ExplorerCanvas for Compatibility
If you're using a browser that doesn’t support the canvas element, don’t worry! The app uses something called the ExplorerCanvas library, which lets you achieve similar results with VML instead. This means more people can use it without any hassle.
Performance Notes
The ExplorerCanvas does work fine but keep in mind that it's still in beta mode. So, if you're using Internet Explorer, you might notice a bit of lag compared to other browsers. We’ve tested it on Firefox (FFX) versions 1.5 through 3, Safari 3, Opera 9 and 10, as well as IE versions 6 through 8.
