DenS Monitor is a handy little desktop widget designed just for Windows 7 and Vista computers. It helps you keep an eye on how your computer is doing, especially when it comes to CPU and RAM usage, plus the network packets that are sent and received. The best part? It’s super straightforward and doesn’t have a bunch of confusing options or settings.
Getting this utility up and running is a breeze! You won’t need to spend much time installing it. The interface is simple, with a small window that’s easy to navigate.
Your computer starts getting monitored right from the moment you boot it up. You can easily check out the CPU and RAM usage in percentages, along with how many packets have been sent and received in bytes.
As mentioned earlier, DenS Monitor doesn’t come with any fancy settings. But don’t worry! Like most desktop gadgets for Windows 7 and Vista, you can keep its frame on top of other windows, drag it around your screen using your mouse, or even adjust how transparent it looks.
This tool didn’t slow down our machines at all during testing since it uses very little CPU and RAM to operate smoothly. We didn’t see any error messages pop up, nor did it freeze or crash.
If you’re looking for advanced features as an experienced user, DenS Monitor might fall short for you. For instance, it doesn’t have alerts to let you know when CPU or RAM usage hits certain levels. Plus, there aren’t any settings for changing colors either.
It’s worth noting that DenS Monitor hasn’t had updates in quite some time. Still, if you enjoy using desktop gadgets and want a simple way to monitor your computer's performance regarding CPU and RAM usage—along with network activity—this tool could be just what you need!
