Uninstalling applications by sending them to the Trash is sometimes not enough, as many of them store additional files on your Mac that are left behind and use up a lot of disk space. Delete Apps offers a solution to this issue, as it scans for files associated with the applications you want to remove, in order to ensure that everything is taken care of in one go. First and foremost, you need to select your Applications and User folders, so that the utility can scan for content in the right locations. Afterward, you are presented with a comprehensive list, displaying all third-party apps that can be removed, and the amount of data they have stored on your Mac. You can analyze each entry in detail, should you wish to ensure important files are not deleted. Once you have selected the apps you want to delete, the utility attempts to remove them and any additional files they may have created, after reminding you to create the necessary backups. Unfortunately, this is where you may run into problems, as App Delete cannot remove all applications completely, due to sandboxing restrictions. If this should happen, you will be directed to their containing folder and instructed to delete them manually, using Finder.
