How to Use Decompressor

Quick Drag and Drop Option

If you’re looking for speed, you can also drag and drop your archive right onto the Decompressor Dock icon. This kicks off the extraction process right away! Once it’s done, you'll see the output folder pop up in Finder.

Stay Updated with Notifications

Decompressor links up with your Notification Center too! You’ll get alerts when things are happening along with quick shortcuts to your output folder – super convenient!

Multi-File Support

This app can handle multiple files at once! You’ll be able to keep an eye on how everything’s going right from its main window. And don't worry; the Activity Window will close itself when all tasks are wrapped up.

Tweak Your Preferences

You can customize things in the Decompressor Preferences window. Want a dark or light theme for your Activity window? You got it! You can also set where all those extracted files go and choose whether to create a new folder for them.

Automatic Actions After Extraction

You even have options for what happens after extraction is done: open the extracted folder automatically, toss the original archive in the trash, or get a notification. It’s all about making life easier!
