When you open Dawn's Typing Machine, it starts in letters mode. All you have to do is hit any key on the keyboard. Instantly, you'll see the letter pop up in big, bold letters on the screen. This makes it easy for kids to see what they're typing. If they press another letter, that one will show up instead!

Switching to Words Mode

If your little one wants to type out full words instead of just letters, they can switch to Words mode. This can be found in the File menu. Once you start typing words, you'll notice that the screen fills up pretty quickly! But don’t worry; as more words are typed in, the font size gets smaller so everything fits nicely on the screen.

Using Backspace and Starting New Lines

When it's time to start a new word, just hit the return key! And if there’s a mistake? No problem! The backspace key works like it does everywhere else, letting you fix any typos easily.
