Download Requirements

Before you start using Dark Room, make sure to download .NET Framework if you don't already have it. Otherwise, the app won’t run. The app comes in two files that you can save anywhere on your hard drive or even put on a USB drive. This way, you can launch the .exe file from any computer that has the framework installed.

No System Registry Changes

The cool thing about this tool is that it doesn't mess with your system registry. Instead, it keeps its settings stored in a configuration file so it'll remember how you like things when you close and reopen it.

When you open Dark Room, you'll see a fullscreen window with a classic black background and green text—perfect for typing right away! If you need to exit fullscreen mode, just hit F11.

Text Options and Customization

You get some basic text options through the context menu like undo, redo, cut, copy, and paste. Plus, there's easy access to settings where you can tweak font color and style. You can also adjust tabs into spaces of any size and set up auto-indent for neatness!
