CyoHash is a really handy Windows app that helps you easily calculate the hash of any file. It even adds a special option right into your Explorer context menu, making it super easy to access!
Setting up CyoHash takes just a few minutes, and you won’t need to worry about complicated steps. The shell extension gets added to your right-click menu automatically. This means you can quickly find out the MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA384, SHA512, and CRC32 checksums of any file you have—no matter what type it is!
When you launch CyoHash's executable file, you'll see a small window with an easy-to-use layout. You can only point to files using the file browser since drag-and-drop isn't supported here. After selecting the checksum type you want, just click a button to generate it.
The generated hash signature can be copied straight to your Clipboard with another click! Plus, if you want to check multiple files at once, go ahead! Just select them together and use the context menu option for batch processing.
During our tests with CyoHash, everything ran smoothly. There were no hangs or crashes, and we didn’t see any error messages pop up. It responds quickly while using low CPU and RAM—so it really gets the job done without slowing your system down.
If you're looking for an efficient tool for checking file hashes, CyoHash is definitely worth trying out!
CyoHash also fits nicely into these download collections: Checksum Verifiers.
