When you start up CryptoTE, it creates a default container for you. Just remember to save it so all the files you edit stay secure! To save your work, you’ll need to set a password. This password not only protects your files but also encrypts their content. The good news? CryptoTE has a built-in password generator that helps you whip up strong passwords by mixing different character sets!

User Management Made Easy

You can create multiple user profiles in CryptoTE, and all their work will be saved as containers. There’s a special window where you can manage these containers—add new users, change passwords, or delete profiles if needed.

Text Editing Limitations

Now, while CryptoTE shines in keeping your files secure, it doesn’t do so well with actual text processing. For starters, it only supports TXT format really well—even though it opens other types of files too. Also, don’t expect to customize font styles; they’re pretty much fixed here. However, there are handy shortcuts to quickly insert passwords or timestamps!

Edit Like a Pro

The editing features are basic but functional—you’ve got copy, cut, and paste options available. You can jump straight to any line of text too! But keep in mind that there’s no option for line numbering. Still, searching for specific strings and replacing them is easy!

So overall, we’d say CryptoTE has good intentions and meets expectations when it comes to securing your files. However, its text editing features and file support could definitely use some improvement.
