CrowdInspect is a handy tool if you're someone who uses a computer connected to the Internet. You probably know that there are plenty of risks out there, right? But don't worry! This software helps you keep those threats at bay.
So, what can this cool app do? It shows you a list of processes running on your computer. This way, you can check if any of them are acting suspiciously or communicating over the network in a way they shouldn't be.
When you first open CrowdInspect, you'll see a friendly window pop up. It gives you a quick rundown of what the program does and lets you choose between using a built-in VirusTotal API key or typing in your own. After that, you dive into the main interface!
The interface displays all sorts of useful details about each process. You can see its name, PID (process ID), if it's injected, and even get a report from VirusTotal to check for malware. Plus, it shows ratings from the Web Of Trust (WOT) and lists local and remote IP addresses.
You have options too! Want to see TCP processes? Or maybe UDP ones? Just hit the corresponding buttons to filter your view. You can also switch between live processes and past scans easily!
If something looks fishy, you can click on "Kill Process" to stop it right away! There's even an option for viewing full paths for each process by clicking on the "Full Path" button.
If you're serious about keeping track of what your PC is up to when it's online, give CrowdInspect a try. It's super simple to use, doesn't need installation, and has that handy VirusTotal API integration!
