CrococryptFile is a handy tool that helps you keep your important files safe by encoding them so that unauthorized users can't access them. This software lets you add any file to a password-protected archive, which means it can also encode details like the filename, date and time, and even the file size.

How CrococryptFile Works

When you use CrococryptFile, it takes your chosen file and puts it into a special archive with a unique extension: *.croco. This means that no other program can open it! It uses a strong encryption method called AES-256, which is based on passwords. You can even set different keyphrases for each of your files!

User-Friendly Design

The interface is super simple to navigate, making it easy for anyone to use. When you open the program, it shows an import window right away so you can pick how you want to encrypt your files: either using the password-based method (AES-256) or through Windows keystore (RSA-AES-256). You also have extra options like GPG/OpenPGP Key (PGP-AES-256), cloaked password-based encryption (AES-Twofish-256), and one that pads output in multiples of 1 MB.

Quick Access via Context Menu

A cool feature is that CrococryptFile integrates with the Windows Explorer context menu. This means you can just right-click on any file and start encrypting it without opening the software first!

Multiple File Protection

You can easily protect individual files by adding them to an archive, blocking access with a password. This method works great if you're looking to safeguard multiple files because other users will need to get past several passwords instead of just one.

The only downside? You have to remember all those passwords! But don't worry; CrococryptFile keeps each file safe by adding it to an archive that hides information about its name, size, and date.

Decoding Your Files

Once you've encrypted your file with CrococryptFile, it creates a special password-protected archive around your file while keeping the original in its place. So feel free to delete or move things around! To decode a *.croco file, just select it when you open the program and enter your password.
