Cricket is a super lightweight and user-friendly desktop gadget made for those using Windows 7 or Vista. It pulls in the latest cricket scores right from ESPNcricinfo.com, which you might remember as Cricinfo.com.

Simple to Use

This gadget doesn’t come with a bunch of fancy options or settings, so if you’re after a simple news reader, you’ll love this. There’s no need to spend hours adjusting settings; just install it and you’re good to go!

Quick Installation

The installation process is quick and easy, requiring very little input from you. Once it's up and running, you'll see a small frame pop up on your desktop that you can move around wherever you like using your mouse.

Stay Updated on Scores

It may take a moment for it to load the latest scores from the website. After that, you'll be able to see which teams are playing and their scores. The matches will rotate in the panel automatically after some time. Just keep in mind that you can’t change how often it updates or expand the view to see all match details at once.

Basic Settings Available

If you've used other widgets for Windows 7 and Vista, you'll notice they have some basic settings in common. You can adjust the opacity of the panel and even set it to stay on top of other windows. However, there aren’t any other notable features to mention.

No Compatibility Issues

In our tests, we didn’t run into any compatibility problems. The tool didn’t cause our system to freeze or crash, which is great news! Plus, it uses very little CPU and memory while running smoothly.

A Note on Development Status

Sadly, this project isn’t being developed anymore since desktop gadgets aren’t supported after Windows 7. But if you're still rocking Windows 7 or Vista, Cricket is a fantastic way to keep track of cricket scores without any hassle!
