Description

Cricket

Cricket is a super lightweight and user-friendly desktop gadget designed for folks using Windows 7 or Vista. It fetches the latest cricket scores from ESPNcricinfo.com (you might remember it as Cricinfo.com). It's perfect for anyone who just wants to check scores without fussing around with complicated settings.

Easy to Use and Install

This widget is a breeze to install! You won't need to do much, making it great for those who want a simple news reader. Once you set it up, it pops up as a small frame on your desktop that you can move around wherever you like with your mouse.

Get Scores Quickly

Now, when you first load it, it might take a bit to get the latest info from the website. But once it's ready, you'll see team names and scores right there in front of you! The matches will rotate automatically in the panel after some time. Keep in mind that there’s no way to change how often it updates or expand the panel to see all matches at once.

Basic Settings Available

If you've used other widgets made for Windows 7 and Vista, you'll notice some similar basic options here. You can adjust how transparent the panel is and even keep it on top of other windows. But honestly, that's about it for options.

No Compatibility Issues

In our tests, we found no compatibility problems. Cricket didn't hang up or crash our system at all! It also uses very little CPU and memory, which is great if you're worried about slowing down your computer.

A Reliable Score Checker

The downside? Unfortunately, this project isn't being updated anymore since desktop gadgets aren’t supported after Windows 7. But hey, if you're running Windows 7 or Vista, Cricket is still a handy way to stay updated on cricket scores!
