If you are on the lookout for a CPU monitoring tool, CPU Temp is one of the applications you can opt for. Despite its name, it doesn't just monitor the temperature of the CPU but also its usage, power consumption, and the CPU clock frequency.

You are greeted by a simple, neatly designed GUI that is mostly occupied by a real-time graph representing the evolution in time of the CPU temperature. CPU Temp sets a threshold of 100 degrees Celsius for the CPU temperature, letting you know when the heat load is dangerously close to the limit.

Basic information about the CPU is displayed at the lower side of the window. You get to read about the processor manufacturer and type, the code name, the base clock, family and model, the number of cores, and logical processors. Additional parameters are also displayed, revealing a bit more than the average user might need.

CPU Temp displays detailed information about every CPU core, showing you the current, the minimum, maximum, and the average temperatures for each core. The same goes for the distance to the maximum threshold, CPU usage, clock speed, bus speed, voltage, and other parameters. CPU data distribution charts are also available, providing a clear view of the temperature and utilization balance across all the cores.
