What is CopyLocationToClipboardService FOR MAC?

CopyLocationToClipboardService

CopyLocationToClipboardService is a free and open-source service that makes it super easy to copy the location of any folder straight to your clipboard. How cool is that?

How to Use CopyLocationToClipboardService

Getting started with this service is a breeze! Just follow these simple steps:

  • First, copy the service file into either ~/Library/Services or /System/Library/Services.

  • Log out of your account and log back in. This refreshes everything.

  • Now, head over to System Preferences, click on Keyboard, and look for the "Services" section.

  • You should find an option called "Copy the current Directory to Paste..." under the "Files and Folders" category.

  • Make sure you check that box to enable it!

  • If you want, you can set a keystroke command here too, since there's no default one (probably because my choice isn't what anyone wants).

Selecting Your Folder

Once you've got everything set up, just select any folder in Finder. You'll see the service pop up in the services menu! Click on it, and boom! The full path of your selected directory (or application) will be copied right to your clipboard.
