Connection Watcher

Connection Watcher is a handy little tool that helps you keep an eye on your connection to any website you choose. It runs right on your desktop and uses colored markers to show the status of your link. A green marker means everything’s good, while a red one signals there’s a problem.

Track Your Connection Easily

With Connection Watcher, you can track the connection to just one URL at a time. You’ll need to set this up in the Settings menu. Plus, you can change how often it checks your connection by adjusting the alert time, which is measured in seconds. It’s best to keep this setting on low values for quicker updates.

Automatic Connection Detection

If you’re using a router, there’s an option for automatic detection called forced Internet link scan. This can be super useful! When you're using a network card and any changes happen in your connection status, the gadget picks it up as a special event that it can easily record.

Handling External Devices

If you're using an external device like a router, sometimes events might not get detected or could be missed altogether. To fix this, just enable the 'Forcibly scan Internet (for router)' option. This lets the gadget check your Internet connection whenever you want! You can set how often it scans in minutes.

Alerts and Sounds

Another cool feature of Connection Watcher is its alarm system. If your connection drops, it plays an alarm sound; when it's back up, you'll hear a confirmation sound! You can stick with the default sound or even pick another WAV format tune that you like when something happens.

Run Programs Automatically

You also have the option to run certain programs automatically when your connection goes down or comes back up. If you're interested, you can even set something to launch when it detects the connection for the first time! Just click OK or Cancel to close out of Settings and leave only the monitoring button visible on your desktop. It’s super easy to start or stop monitoring any website's connection!
