Concatenate is a handy tool that makes it super easy to create organized lists. Whether you have tasks, items, or other things to keep track of, this software helps you generate automatically numbered lists based on rules that you set.

Getting Started with Concatenate

When you first open Concatenate, don't worry! It’s designed so that anyone can jump right in, no matter how tech-savvy they are. You’ll need to flip through a few tabs to get everything set up. This includes choosing your columns and counters, adding field tags, and deciding if you want to print the list or save it directly.

Customizing Your Lists

This app lets you create up to three different sets of counters based on how detailed you want your list to be. If you're using one column, you can add two fields. For the other two counters, each one can have just one extra field. It might take a bit of trial and error to find the perfect combination for what you need!

Setting Up Counters

Each counter comes with its own unique counting rules that you'll configure in the setup tab. You can choose whether the count goes up or down, and even decide if it’s going to be alphabetical or numerical. Plus, there are options for starting and ending values and steps between counts!

Saving Your Work

Your output will always be saved as a CTF file. When you're ready to create your list, just hit the button and choose where you want to save it! Although the dialog box won’t let you change the file extension directly, feel free to do it manually for easier previewing in any text browser.

Managing Your Counters Effectively

A quick note about managing those counters: they work from last field back to first! So when your last counter hits its end value, the second counter moves forward while the first stays put until it's time for it to change too. It's like a little dance!
