ColorFOff

ColorFOff is a super simple software that lets you grab any color from your desktop and find out its hexadecimal code. This is great for collecting your favorite colors and using them in your web design or graphic editing projects.

Easy to Use and Portable

This app doesn’t need to be installed, which means you can just copy it anywhere on your PC or even keep it on a USB flash drive. That way, you can launch ColorFOff on any computer without a hassle! Just remember, you'll need .NET Framework installed for it to work properly.

How It Works

When you start the app, a small color picker panel pops up right in the middle of your screen. The cool part? It stays on top of all the other windows. You can't change this feature, but it's handy if you're working with multiple programs.

Capturing Colors

If you want to grab the color where your mouse is hovering, just hit Ctrl+Alt+C. The selected color will show up in the main window along with its hex code. You can easily select and copy that code to use wherever you need!

No Performance Issues

The best part is that ColorFOff uses very little system resources during our tests, so it won’t slow down your computer at all!

What’s Missing?

However, there are some things we wish it had. For instance, being able to change the hotkey for capturing colors would be helpful. A magnifier glass option would also make it easier to see colors better as you move around with the mouse. Plus, having a feature to save multiple hex codes for later use would be awesome.

A Simple Tool with Limitations

In short, ColorFOff is pretty basic when it comes to capturing desktop colors and their hexadecimal codes. It definitely has room for improvement! Also, keep in mind that this software hasn’t been updated in quite a while.
