ClearSkyClock is a cool little tool that pops up on your desktop to show you the sky conditions across North America. It’s super helpful for anyone who loves stargazing or just wants to know what the weather looks like!
This handy gadget has an XML database filled with over 3000 sites, all sorted by country, state or province, and clock name. You can easily check the conditions at three different locations right from your sidebar!
If you want to dive deeper, just click on any of the colored charts. When you undock ClearSkyClock, it expands to give you a clearer hour-by-hour preview chart. This shows cloud cover on the top row and transparency on the bottom row. It’s like having a mini weather station right at your fingertips!
In ClearSkyClock, each square represents one hour of time, and it uses color codes to show conditions. Dark blue means excellent skies for viewing, while white indicates very poor conditions. You’ll also see a red line marking midnight so you can easily track when things change.
If you're curious about how to read these charts better, check out the Clear Sky Clock website. They have all the details you need!
