Children Control

Children Control is a handy tool that helps you manage what your kids can access on their PC. You can control everything from programs and websites to system functions. Just remember, you'll need to install this program under an administrator's account first. And the cool part? You can set it up differently for each user on your computer!

Access Settings

The program usually hangs out in the system tray, so just right-click on the tray icon to see a quick menu. If you choose "Show Settings," you'll open up a window with five different pages where you can customize things.

General Settings

On the first page, you'll find settings like setting a password to keep unauthorized users away. You can also decide if you want Children Control to start automatically when Windows boots up for that user. Want to keep it stealthy? There's an option to hide the tray icon when it starts. Plus, you can pick a hotkey (like ctrl+shift+alt+s) to switch into invisible mode anytime!

Locking Your PC

The second page is all about locking your computer settings. If you've set it up to autostart with Windows, you can lock your PC at startup too! Make sure to check options like "Lock PC after unapproved reboot" so that access is locked down if someone tries rebooting without permission.

Time Restrictions

If you're worried about how much time your kids spend on the computer, there's an option for that too! Just enable "Lock PC every..." and set how often and for how long it locks down. A quick double-click on the tray icon or selecting "Lock Computer" from the menu will also do the trick!

Internet Safety

No parent wants their kid stumbling upon inappropriate content online! With Children Control, you have two great ways to restrict access: either allow only certain websites or block sites with specific keywords.

Program Access Control

If your children are playing games or using programs they shouldn't be, just click "+" to add those files and check off "Lock access." It's super easy!

System Restrictions Management

The last page lets you manage what system features are available (you'll need admin access for this). Turn off things like Task Manager or control panel settings as needed.

Simplified Usage

After you're done adjusting everything, hit OK to save your options! The settings window will disappear, but don't worry—the program keeps working in the background.
