Getting Started with Child Control

Once you finish installing the program, you’ll set up a password. This keeps your settings safe and allows the tool to send you updates via email. It’s super handy to stay in the loop!

Customizing Access Times

You can use a wizard to help configure everything just how you want it. For instance, you can choose when kids can use the computer or browse online. When their time is up, the computer will shut down automatically—though you can change this if needed.

Setting Up Filters and Limits

If you're worried about what sites they might visit, there’s an Internet Filter feature that lets you create a list of approved websites. You can also adjust security levels from low to very high based on what feels right for your family.

Managing Time and Access Permissions

Diving into the features, you'll find options to reconfigure those time limits for both computer and Internet use. You can even enable a force break if necessary! Plus, creating whitelists (for allowed sites) and blacklists (for blocked sites) is easy.

Keeping Sensitive Tools Locked Down

If you're concerned about sensitive tools in Windows like Command Prompt or Task Manager being accessed by kids, no problem! You can disable those features to keep things secure.

Add Users and Monitor Activity

You have the option to add more users to your “banned” list or enable remote Internet monitoring. Want to review past activity? You can view log files and even tweak options like logging out when limits are reached or syncing date and time with the Internet.

User-Friendly Performance

This program uses a moderate amount of system resources but runs smoothly without errors during our tests. And don’t worry—if someone tries uninstalling it, they’ll need that password!
