You have plenty of options while playing. You can pause the game, give up if you're stuck, or start fresh with a new match. There are two built-in timers to help you keep track of your time. Plus, you can go back or forward in moves, and even jump straight to the first or last move!

Chessimo keeps tabs on all your moves with notations in a Training window. You can save your current game as a file to pick up where you left off later.

Diverse Learning Modules

The software offers a database covering five main topics: Tactics, Endgames, Commented Endgames, and Strategy. Each topic has training modules that start off easy and gradually introduce more complex concepts.

User-Friendly Exercises

The teaching method lets you tackle exercises illustrating specific concepts. If you make an incorrect move, Chessimo shows you the right one! Plus, exercises are repeated until you can answer correctly in no time.

Your Progress Matters

Chessimo keeps a history of all your training sessions. It tracks info about modules, units, dates, exercises completed, time spent on each exercise, learned tactics, endgames practiced—and even your total points!

Customization Options

You can personalize the look of your chess board by changing color schemes for borders and choosing different types of chess pieces. There are also sound effects for various events during play.

This tool also allows showing exercise advice or alternative move suggestions during practice. You can repeat unsolved exercises until you nail the solution or set time limits for each challenge (in minutes). Oh! And don’t forget about setting up a master password for extra security.
