What is Charter FOR MAC?

Charter

Charter is a super simple app for Mac OS X that lets developers add plotting features to any scripting or programming language that uses a UDP socket library. If you're looking for an easy way to visualize your data, this is it!

How Charter Works

Using Charter is a breeze! All you have to do is send a UDP packet with the data you want to plot. The cool part? You format this data using a custom but straightforward protocol. Just one packet per point, and you can even include multiple data series in each packet!

Real-Time Updates

Once you've sent your data, Charter takes care of the rest. It automatically detects the different series, sets up your charts, and creates a nice scatter plot that updates in real time. So, if you're working on something and want to see how things are changing as your code runs, Charter has got you covered!

When to Use Charter

This tool comes in handy when you need to chart some data from your code prototype. Instead of waiting until everything's done to see the results, why not watch them change live? Here are some cool ways you can use Charter:

  • Real-time charting of web server statistics.

  • Convergence charts for numerical analysis and simulations.

  • Real-time charting of analog signals from Arduino or other prototyping platforms.
