Well, that's because Celestia uses the Hipparcos database, which only includes stars within 20 light years from our sun.

You can find objects by using common names or catalog numbers, like HIP, HD, and SAO catalogs. The app only shows objects that have precise measurements based on official star databases. So while it may seem limited, it's actually pretty accurate!

Celestia comes with a handy solar system browser where you can pick any planet or satellite and zoom right in! Plus, there's an option in the Navigation menu where you can type in an object's name to get up close and personal.

Another cool feature is the star browser that lets you explore around 100 of our nearest stars! No matter what you choose to look at, the app provides valuable info about each object—like its absolute magnitude, distance from us, radius, or phase angle. And don't worry; there are shortcuts to make your exploration easier!
