CEDAR Logic Simulator is a handy software that lets you design logic systems in a digital way. It's perfect for courses on computer architecture and similar topics. With this tool, you get access to a bunch of low-level logic objects and register-level functions that make your work easier.
The program's interface is simple and user-friendly. You can easily drag and drop items from the left side of the window onto your sheet. This makes it super easy to create your designs without any hassle.
You’ll find various basic components available like gates, inversions, connections, decorations, muxing and decoding tools, additions and comparisons, flip-flops, registers, RAM, ROM, and even chips! All these elements help you build intricate digital systems.
The main application window has 10 different pages. This means you can work on several digital designs at once! Switching between them is a breeze.
You also have handy features like copy, paste, undo and redo options. Plus, you can export your project as either a monochrome or color Bitmap file. If you're into details, there’s an oscilloscope view available too! You can hide grid lines or wire connection points when needed. And if you're in the zone? You can zoom in or out easily and lock your current design state.
This program runs smoothly with good response times. It supports keyboard shortcuts for quick access to features. There's user documentation available too if you need help navigating through the tools. During our testing phase, we found no issues; CEDAR Logic Simulator didn’t freeze or crash at all!
No matter what level of experience you have with software like this—whether you're a beginner or more experienced—you'll figure out how to use the features without much trouble thanks to its intuitive layout.
