CatLight is a handy build status notification app that helps you keep tabs on your projects. It works with services like AppVeyor, Jenkins, Team Foundation, and Visual Studio Team, making it easier to stay updated.

How CatLight Works

Once you install CatLight, it puts a small icon right on your status bar. This icon changes color to let you know what's happening with your builds. For example, if it's blue, a build is in progress; if it's yellow, it’s partially built; and red means something's broken and needs fixing!

Setting Up CatLight

Getting started with CatLight is super easy! In the main window of the app, you'll pick which servers you want to connect to and fill in the required details. If you're using AppVeyor, just grab your web API token to connect. For Jenkins users, enter the server URL along with your login info.

Connecting to Team Servers

If you're working with Team Foundation or Visual Studio Team servers, simply input the collection URL. CatLight will automatically figure out the right settings for you—no hassle!

Selecting Projects to Monitor

Once you're all set up and connected, CatLight can see all your projects on that server. You get to choose which ones you want to monitor closely. Just a heads-up: any projects you don’t select will be ignored by the app. If new projects pop up later, you’ll need to head back into the Settings panel via the CatLight Dashboard.

Status Updates at a Glance

You can check on project statuses directly from the CatLight icon in your status bar. But if you want more details about each project—like who broke the last build or when it happened—you can find that in the app’s Dashboard window too!
