It was developed by the EPA's Office of Emergency Management and NOAA's Office of Response and Restoration. With CAMEO, users can easily access, store, and analyze important info that helps them create solid emergency plans. It also supports regulatory compliance by helping folks meet the chemical inventory reporting rules from the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), also known as SARA Title III.

Working with Other Software

CAMEO works well with another app called LandView. Together, they can show EPA environmental databases along with demographic and economic details, making it easier to tackle environmental justice challenges.
