Getting Started with CAM Template Editor
Once you set it up, which is super quick and doesn't need much attention, you'll see a big window with a clean layout. This is where all the magic happens!
Create Your Own Templates
You can start fresh by creating a new template from scratch or use existing XML, XSD, or JSON code. Just remember, you have to save your work in CAM or CXF format before diving in.
Edit and Customize
If you want to add new structures, just provide an XML file or the name of the root element for your XML. You can edit and fix your code, add rules related to items in your structure, change annotations, and even highlight child elements or attributes.
View Source Code & Documentation
The source code is viewable in its own window and can be exported to a file. Plus, there's tabular and interactive documentation available! You can also browse lookup lists or see your template as a mind map.
Exporting Options
Your project can be exported in various formats like CXF or XSD schema. You can also export the template pick list, compressed template, or XML documentation. It's super versatile!
User-Friendly Features
CAM Template Editor has tons of tools for evaluating templates, managing dictionaries and database connections, expanding templates, renaming them—you name it! You can even customize the colors of the editor structure and adjust how detailed your mind map looks.
