CableMon is a handy tool that lets you keep an eye on your network traffic through LAN. You can check reports over a long period, which is super useful.

Easy-to-Use Interface

The interface is simple, fitting into a small rectangular window. Here, you can pick the network connection you want to monitor. It shows download and upload speeds, total speed, average speed, and even traffic from when the program last started up. Plus, it tells you system uptime and the total upload and download sizes.

Traffic Visualization

You can see a cool graphical display of sent and received packets! There are options to choose traffic modes—whether you want to track incoming, outgoing, or total traffic. You can also switch between scaling options like 16KB/s or Adaptive mode. And if you prefer different time frames for measuring speed—like per second, minute, or hour—you can change that too!

Dive Into Detailed Reports

The report feature shows total uploads and downloads over time for various data types like web browsing, emails, FTP transfers, file sharing, news updates, UDP traffic, and more.

Customizable Settings

Now let’s talk about settings! You can display data from the WinPCap driver right in the main frame (instead of just what the OS shows). You can set CableMon to start automatically when your system boots up. It also allows logging of incoming NULL data and pings a host to confirm traffic flow. Plus, you can specify maximum connection speeds and log custom port traffic!

Lightweight Performance

One thing we love about CableMon is how it uses minimal resources while running. It responds quickly and gives accurate info without interrupting your work when it's minimized in the system tray area. We haven't run into any problems during our tests! Although there hasn’t been an update in some time, CableMon still runs smoothly on newer operating systems.
