BrowseShot is a handy tool that adds a little extra magic to your Mac's screenshot abilities. If you’re looking for an easy way to grab full-length screenshots of websites, this app has got your back!
With BrowseShot, capturing website snapshots is super simple. Just type in the URL of the site you want to capture in the address bar, hit Enter, or click that cute green triangle button on the side. It’s just like using a regular browser!
Once the website loads up, all you have to do is click on the camera button at the top right of BrowseShot’s window. Then pick where you want to save your screenshot on your Mac. In no time at all, you'll have a full-length image of that webpage saved as a PNG file!
The great thing about saving as PNG is that it works with any image viewer you have installed. Just remember, BrowseShot isn’t perfect yet—it can’t take screenshots of sites using Java or Flash plugins.
You can only snapshot one website at a time with BrowseShot. If you open another site, it replaces the one currently displayed since there’s no tab browsing here.
Also worth noting: if a website has scrolling disabled (like Gmail), you won’t be able to capture it either. And we’d love to see more options for image formats—maybe PSD for editing or JPEG for smaller sizes would be nice!
Despite these hiccups, BrowseShot does its job well when you need to see an entire webpage at once. Hopefully, future updates will address some of these issues and make BrowseShot even better for OS X users! For those interested in downloading this cool app, check out BrowseShot here!
