BRL-CAD is an open source and cross-platform graphical software written in C, C++, Java, PHP, Tcl/Tk and designed to act as a powerful Constructive Solid Geometry (CSG) system.
BRL-CAD includes an interactive geometry editor, ray tracing support for rendering and geometric analysis, image-processing and signal-processing tools, and network distributed framebuffer support.
The entire package is distributed in source code form. It features a command-line interface (CLI), a daemon, as well as OpenGL, Tk, Web-based, and X Window System (X11) GUIs (Graphical User Interfaces).
BRL-CAD is a platform-independent application that supports Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.
