Block Sites is a simple and lightweight Windows app that helps you block websites easily. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to keep distractions away while working or studying.

Easy to Use

You can kick things off by just opening the EXE file on your computer. If you ever want to uninstall it, all you need to do is delete the files you downloaded. It's super straightforward!

No Hassle with Installation

This app doesn’t mess with your Windows registry, which means you don’t need special admin rights to use it. You can even carry it around on a USB flash drive if you want!

User-Friendly Interface

The interface is really simple, showing just a few settings in the main window. There’s no help manual, but honestly, you won’t need one since everything is designed to be intuitive.

Create Your Block List

With Block Sites, you can easily create a list of websites that you want to block. Just copy and paste URLs from your clipboard into the app, and you're good to go!

Preset Options Available

If you're not sure which sites to block, don’t worry! The app includes a preset list of common websites that are often distracting. Once you've chosen which pages to restrict, just activate the blocking mode.

Limitations of Block Sites

However, there are some features missing from Block Sites. For example, it doesn't let you create a whitelist of allowed URLs or set time limits for browsing. You also won’t get notifications when blocked sites are accessed.

Room for Improvement

This tool is still pretty basic compared to other more powerful web blockers out there like Family Cyber Alert and HT Parental Controls. While testing on Windows 8.1, we did run into some errors as well.
