Description
Black Body Spectrum is a small application where users can select a temperature for the star; the resultant blackbody spectrum is instantly shown.
Cursor interrogation can be used to show how the wavelength at which the maximum amount of energy is emitted depends on temperature.
The user can also do photometry on the curve by selecting ultraviolet, blue, visual, red, or infrared pass bands.
The respective flux ratios are calculated so the user can see how they depend on temperature.
