bioValidator is a free software tool that makes it super easy to validate your field data collection spreadsheets. You can also assign unique identifiers to each record and even tag your photos with the right data! How cool is that?
Easy Data Validation
The way bioValidator works is by using specific rules stored in an XML file. These rules help ensure your data is accurate and reliable. Each rule can be set to either "Error" or "Warning." If you hit an Error, it means you can't proceed with anything else until it's fixed. On the other hand, a Warning lets you know there's something to fix, but it's not critical right away.

Exciting news! There are tools coming soon that will help you build those validation XML files, so stay tuned! For now, just remember that all XML rule files are validated against an XSD schema document. This means your rules are checked for accuracy before they're put into action!
